NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ahead of Veterans Day, NFN Production’s ‘THE WATCH: America’s Nuclear Mission’ offers an unprecedented look inside one of the nation’s most secretive military missions. The six-part docuseries follows the men and women carrying out America’s nuclear deterrence mission across air, land and sea, with rare access to restricted command centers, weapon systems and operations.

‘THE WATCH: America’s Nuclear Mission’ will make its theatrical debut with special IMAX® engagements at institutions dedicated to exploring the history, science and technology behind America’s most consequential missions. The featured episode, focused on the B-2 Spirit, takes audiences inside the stealth bomber’s operations through the eyes of a pilot, wife, mother, and combat leader, alongside the servicemembers who support the mission. Behind the aircraft’s imposing, almost mythic presence is a deeply human story of service, family and extraordinary responsibility.
The series will screen at the California Science Center IMAX® Theater on October 22, the AMC San Antonio Rivercenter on November 1, the Lockheed Martin IMAX® Theater at the National Air and Space Museum on November 2, and a special Veterans Day presentation at the Southampton Playhouse on November 11. The complete series will be available to stream on Prime Video following the theatrical engagements in November.
Award-winning actor, humanitarian and longtime advocate for America’s military community, Gary Sinise, serves as narrator of the series. Through the Gary Sinise Foundation, Gary has spent decades supporting and honoring the nation’s veterans, active-duty service members, first responders and their families, making his involvement in ‘THE WATCH’ even more meaningful.
With extraordinary access to America’s nuclear forces, ‘THE WATCH’ captures never-before-seen footage, from the tense silence aboard a submerged ballistic missile submarine to the roar of a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber preparing for launch. At its heart are the young servicemembers entrusted with this mission, balancing duty and family while carrying the immense responsibility of safeguarding the nation.
“Most people know America possesses nuclear weapons, but few understand the human heartbeat behind them,” says Showrunner Jeff Bolton. “The average age of the military men and women holding this extraordinary, destructive power is a mere 28-years-old. These are real people with families, living with the weight of decisions that could dramatically alter the entire course of human history. ‘THE WATCH’ gives a global audience a front-row seat to their story and the mission they carry out every day.”
Blending breathtaking cinematography with deeply personal storytelling, ‘THE WATCH’ offers a rare portrait of America’s nuclear deterrence mission and the people responsible for carrying it out in today’s complex geopolitical landscape. Recently retired U.S. Air Force Global Strike Commander, General Thomas Bussiere said of the series, “Never before has a documentary crew been granted this kind of access to the U.S. nuclear deterrence mission, and never has one shown so much focus on stories of the men and women who undertake such a serious and critical role. I’m excited to see what ‘THE WATCH’ means to the world as captured in this honest and unvarnished series.”
‘THE WATCH: America’s Nuclear Mission’ was created by Showrunner Jeff Bolton (America’s Marine Aviators) of NFN Productions, who also serves as the executive producer, alongside Gerry Byrne. The series is directed by Ted Schillinger (Rotten). Producers include Steven Chester Prince of Check Engine Films, alongside Carissa Buffel and Kevin Matusow of The Traveling Picture Show Company.
