Denver, Colorado – October 13, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
SplitSimple, a divorce mediation firm serving Denver, has selected Rosmery Garcia as the recipient of its latest scholarship award supporting students pursuing careers in social work. The $500 award recognizes Garcia for her commitment to addressing the systemic barriers faced by families in crisis.
Garcia was chosen for the 2026 Split Simple Social Work Scholarship based on her academic focus and her service-oriented approach to supporting vulnerable populations. Her application highlighted a desire to move beyond temporary assistance toward more comprehensive, evidence-based solutions for the people she serves.

The scholarship is awarded by Chris Griffith, an attorney-mediator at SplitSimple whose practice centers on helping families navigate transition. Griffith noted that Garcia’s perspective aligned closely with the values the award was created to support.
“What particularly stood out to me was your recognition that providing temporary assistance or referrals, while important, does not always address the underlying barriers people face”, said Chris Griffith of SplitSimple. “Your desire to develop the skills to address those issues more comprehensively through social work, advocacy, and evidence-based intervention strongly reflects the service-oriented purpose of this scholarship.”
Garcia is pursuing a Master of Social Work and has gained experience through her work with Bridging Miracles in Las Vegas, an organization established by Garcia that supports families and children. Her current studies build on that foundation, with an emphasis on helping families through crisis while addressing the structural challenges that often go unresolved.
“I’m honored to receive the Split Simple Social Work Scholarship,” said Rosmery Garcia. “Through my work with Bridging Miracles in Las Vegas, I’ve seen how much it matters for people to feel heard, supported, and treated with dignity. Pursuing my MSW is helping me build on that work so I can better support families through crisis and address the barriers they face. Being selected by an attorney-mediator whose work centers on helping families makes this recognition especially meaningful. I’m grateful to Split Simple for investing in my education and the work I hope to continue in my community.”
The scholarship reflects SplitSimple’s broader focus on helping families move through difficult circumstances with clarity and dignity. The firm’s mediation practice centers on guiding individuals toward agreements that address financial, parenting, and property matters without adversarial litigation, a philosophy that parallels the social work values of comprehensive, people-centered support.
Griffith added that awards of this kind allow the firm to extend its mission beyond the mediation table and into the communities where future social workers will practice.
SplitSimple provides divorce mediation services to clients in Denver, including remote mediation sessions conducted from clients’ homes. The firm assists with uncontested and no-fault divorce, alimony and childcare matters, parenting plans, child custody and support calculations, equitable division of assets, retirement accounts, and the completion and submission of required legal documents. Throughout its work, the firm emphasizes a collaborative approach designed to help families reach fair and durable agreements while reducing conflict during periods of significant change.
