Victory follows second-place finish at IAME Euro Series in Mariembourg as 12-year-old American continues strong finish to challenging first season in karting’s Junior class
DALLAS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Liam Nachawati is finishing his first season in OKJ and X30 Junior karting with a surge of momentum, taking first place Sunday at the IAME EuroCup in Le Mans after earning a second-place podium finish at the IAME Euro Series in Mariembourg, Belgium, just two weeks earlier.
The back-to-back podium finishes cap a season of learning and adjustment for the 12-year-old Dallas driver, who moved up to the more demanding OKJ and X30 Junior category in January and has spent the year competing against older, larger and more experienced drivers.
Nachawati’s Le Mans victory came after a determined advance through the field. He started the qualifying round in P20 and moved to P6 by the opening heat. He won Heat 3 and advanced to P7 in the Super Heat. Starting the final from seventh, Nachawati ultimately took the checkered flag by 1.524 seconds.
The victory follows Nachawati’s P2 finish at the IAME Euro Series in Mariembourg in September, giving him two podium finishes in two of the season’s key international events.
“Moving up to Juniors in January has made this a season of learning and a lot of hard work,” Nachawati said. “There have definitely been some humbling experiences along the way, but I’ve learned from them and kept working. Finishing second in Mariembourg and then winning at Le Mans means a lot to me. It gives me confidence and momentum heading into the final races of the season.”
The IAME EuroCup at Le Mans drew more than 290 drivers from more than 20 countries. Nachawati will look to carry that momentum into the FIA World Championship at the World Circuit La Conca in Muro Leccese, Italy, November 5–8.
Managed by Infinity Sports Management, he races in the OKJ class for Ricky Flynn Motorsport in Europe and in the X30 Junior class for Rolison Performance group in the U.S. and Dream Racing in Europe.
Nachawati continues to be one of the youngest drivers in OKJ and X30 Junior. His results in a challenging first season at the junior level — including consecutive podium finishes at major international events — mark another step in his development as he pursues his long-term goal of advancing through the ranks of professional motorsport.
